Outdoor Education Centres

We provide support and advice for outdoor centres in safe practice, national guidance, and learning design.

University Union & Guilds Support

Sam has provided consultancy and inspection services to University Union & Guilds with adventurous 'high risk' activities.

University clubs provide a unique environment where a peer-led club is nested within a larger organisation which may hold some responsibility for the activities of the club.

Our process

See if our approach will work for you

Action Plan

We typically produce an action plan which will include what we will do for you, and any actions required from you in order to achieve our agreed objectives. This might involve safety advice and recommendations for practice that reflect sector norms. It might be the provision of training or sharing resources.

Regular Reviews

We identify key review points to gauge progress. This includes regular communication and on-site meetings where required. We conduct 'washup' meetings after project completion to ensure we continually improve and gather feedback.

Scoping

We start by ensuring we understand your context, this typically involves a document review and site visit as well as wider research. It's also important to ensure we clearly define your objectives - what are you wanting from us? What are you trying to achieve in the next 12 months?
